Sync Your Tapo Doorbell and Door Lock's Chime
A recent update to the DL110 added a new major feature, the ability to sync your Door Lock’s Chime with the chime from a hub or another doorbell.
Along with this comes the additional ability to Integrate Your Door Lock into your Doorbell Experience – providing synchronized chimes, combined notifications, and the ability to lock and unlock your door from the doorbell’s live view.
Paired Chimes
When someone presses the doorbell button of your lock, the chime will also ring simultaneously.
Tapo DL110 > Device Settings > Doorbell > Paired Chimes
Take note of the two tabs, one tab is for the chimes/hubs used by your Door Lock, with the other being the chimes/hubs used by your Doorbell. Each set of chimes may have their own effective time (schedule), or they may be configured to use the same schedule.
From this page you are able to select each individual chime and hub’s ringtone and volume.
After changing one of the schedules, you may be prompted to apply those settings to paired doorbell or door lock. If you wish to have all chimes follow a single schedule, make sure you hit ‘Sync’ or configure both Effective times.
Integrate Your Door Lock with a Tapo Doorbell
Whether your lock’s doorbell or the connected doorbell is pressed, the lock and doorbell will ring simultaneously and send you notifications.
Tapo DL110 > Device Settings > Doorbell > Integrate Doorbell
For a more in-depth and coherent experience, you may integrate your doorbell to ring chimes and send notifications simultaneously while also adding quick lock/unlock controls to the area below the doorbell’s live view.
Tip: Use the Different Effective Schedules to Change Which Chimes or Hubs Ring Across Your Home at Different Times. Consider disabling chimes or hubs at night that may disturb a sleeping family member.
